Week Three - Sizzix Triple Blog Hop
One Die - Two Projects
This versatile die, Beautiful Bloom flowers by Brenda Pinnick, was such fun to use that I had to create two projects from the flowers.
From paper to fabric, you’ll find so many ways to use this great flower die just like my fellow Designers. Remember to click on the blog hop link on the right to see more ideas.
The first project is a quick journal cover that is perfect for gift giving. The journal is a simple black book that is embellished with batik paper, ribbon, and a felt flower. You can use the same technique to alter a simple photograph album for those photographers on your holiday gift list.
The instructions for creating paper batiks can be found in my article for the January, 2011, All Star issue of Scrap and Stamp Arts Magazine. Tulip dies by ILovetoCreate and Inks by Ranger Industries, Inc. help you create rich-looking batiks. .
Quick Floral Bracelet
Deck your wrists with flowers with this fun bracelet and/or Choker Necklace. Although I made my own jump rings and closures for the bracelet, you can purchase these findings at your local craft store.
The bracelet takes very little time to create. If you can sew a button on a shirt, you can make this bracelet. You can make a matching choker necklace just by adding more length to the ribbon.
Since spam has started showing up in my comments area, I have decided to review comments before they are posted. Wish I did not have to do that, but I'm not a lover of spam.
