Happy New Year!

Wishing you a VERY
Happy and Creative New Year!

I hope your year will be filled with creative ideas, lots of love,
good health, and happiness.

CHA - Craft and Hobby Association Show

It is a very busy time in my studio as I get my projects ready for the Craft and Hobby Association Show.

You can see some of my designs at the Viva Decor booth.  I will also be giving a  demonstration showing everyone how to create a fabric cuff using paper embellishments.
I will also have a table display in the Designer Showcase area.

In the meantime, here's a little look at where I am spending most of my time these days.  The photo on the left is from my studio.   I love the two large windows in the room.  My desk sits in front of one of them providing natural light when I work.

My grandmother made the scarf that sits on the pillow.  I keep it in my room to remind me of my grandmother and her creativity.

The chair was created from a kitchen chair I found at Salvation Army.  The chair was in bad shape, so I gave it new life.  I cut a new back for it, did a bit of painting,  recovered the seat, and it's a good reminder to not take life too seriously when I enter my studio.

Planters, gifts from a very close cousin, are given new purpose by filling them with colored pencils, pens, and other items.

Thanks for visiting.

I would love to  know what projects you have planned for this new year.  Are you attending CHA? What's your thoughts on crafting in 2011?
